chef smith apologizes

Ghanaian chef Ebenezer Smith, also known as Chef Smith, expressed profound regret after presenting a counterfeit Guinness World Record (GWR) certificate claiming a record for the longest solo cooking marathon, totaling 802 hours and 25 minutes. However, verification by GWR revealed the certificate was not authentic, with the true record held by Alan Fisher of Ireland at 119 hours, 57 minutes, and 16 seconds.

In an emotional interview with Serwaa Amihere on GHOne TV, Chef Smith tearfully apologized to Ghanaians and the global community, acknowledging his mistake and expressing deep remorse. “I offer a heartfelt apology on this significant platform and to the world. I am deeply sorry. My desperation to make a living led me to this mistake. I am truly sorry, and I beg the entire nation for forgiveness,” he stated.
